How to download videos and images from the Facebook Ad Library

By OlegPublished Nov 5, 20264 min read

Short answer

The Facebook Ad Library has no download button. You can save an ad's video from the browser's media menu or developer tools, or open the ad on Free Ad Library and use the original file link. Use saved ads for internal research only; the creatives belong to the advertiser.

Ways to save an ad video

Open the ad on Free Ad Library and use the “Open video” link in the ad details.
In the Meta Ad Library, play the video, right-click it and choose “Save video as” where your browser allows it.
As a fallback, find the .mp4 request in the browser's developer tools (Network tab) and open it in a new tab.

Can you reuse downloaded ads?

Not as your own. Ads are copyrighted by the advertiser. Keep them in an internal swipe file to study hooks, pacing and offers, then make original creatives.
